The same applies to exiting the parking lot, except in cases where the user has exceeded the free parking time or does not have a permanent exit access right. In such cases, parking fees can be paid directly at the exit’s automatic pay station, where the system automatically displays the payment amount. Alternatively, users can pay at a remote automatic pay station by entering their vehicle’s license plate number and settling the parking fee.

Parking tickets used in other types of systems are costly in the long run since users receive a ticket upon each entry to the parking lot. Upon exiting the parking lot, users often discard the ticket without paying for parking, especially if they leave within the free parking time frame. Over the equipment’s lifespan, the cost of purchasing parking tickets and the logistics associated with ticket procurement represent a significant percentage of the installed equipment’s value.

Systems operating based on parking tickets use moving components (ticket dispensers, printers, rollers, belts, magnetic recorders, etc.) that wear out and need replacement.
